Swami Vagishananda Saraswati

Swami Vagishananda Saraswati har studerat och lärt ut vedanta  och vedisk chanting i över trettio år. Han har uppnått lärarstatus i den
traditionella metodologin som kallas Sampradaaya. Han behärskar sanskrit och
sydindisk Krsna Yajur Vedic-style chanting till fullo och har under en
tolvårsperiod undervisat elever vid Arsha Vidya Gurukulam. Han är en unik
och sällsynt lärare med djup kunskap. När han undervisar tränger insikten
om livets mening rakt in i hjärtat. I sverige undervisar han regelbundet

Swami Vagishananda is a senior disciple of Swami Dayananda Saraswati and
has been studying and teaching Vedanta and Vedic chanting for the past 30
years. When Swamiji was in his teens, he was fascinated with mystical
poetry and non-dual philosophies. Upon being accepted to a course of
study with Swami Dayananda Saraswati in 1975, at the age of 19, he left
college and went to India. He graduated from a three-year residential
course in Vedanta, Sanskrit, and Vedic Chanting. During this period, he
studied and practiced Sri Rudra Prasnam (the most exalted Vedic prayer)
and the main Vedic Suktas Mantras and Upanishads in the traditional
manner, under Swami
Paramarthananda, a fellow student and master of Vedic chanting.
He was a staff member in the four subsequent three-year courses taught by
Swami Dayananda in the United States and India and taught Vedic chanting.
Serving his teacher in many and varied ways, Swamiji continued studying and
teaching Sanskrit and advanced Vedanta texts. In his purvashrama student
stage of life he was known as "Brahmachari Prabhu Chaitanya" until he was
initiated into sannyasa renunciation, on the banks of the Ganga River in
Rishikesh, India, on February 12, 1991.
Among Sri Swamiji's varied teaching positions are those he has held at
Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, in Saylorsburg, PA, and Arsha Vidya Gurukulam,
Coimbatore, India. Sri Swamiji taught at the Arsha Vidya Kendra Center for
Vedantic Study in Bangalore, India, and Sandeepani West Ashram, Piercy,
California. Today, Swami Vagishananda holds classes and workshops
throughout the world, using the traditional methodology called sampradaya.
He unlocks the teachings of Vedanta, removing the veil of ignorance which
is the fundamental cause of all human suffering.
